# 8.2 Wallet & Merchant Integrations

Wallet developers can integrate Xera by supporting unified addresses, encrypted memos, and shielded scanning. Integration does not require running a full node; lightweight verification modes and remote proof services allow mobile and browser-based environments to participate securely.

Merchants can deploy Xera payment modules through standardized invoice formats, POS integrations, and webhook-based settlement APIs. These integrations enable confidential customer payments without requiring merchants to build custom cryptographic infrastructure. Unified address abstraction ensures that merchants can receive both transparent and shielded funds seamlessly.
